During the month of September, the Conicelli automotive dealerships in Conshohocken and Springfield donated a new winter coat for a need child with ever car sold, through the Auto Dealers Caring for Kids Foundation's "Driving Away the Cold" program. This was the sixth consecutive year that the Conicelli organization has been involved; Dominic M. Conicelli, general manager of Conicelli Autoplex, serves as president of the foundation.

With about 175 Philadelphia-area dealerships participating, the foundation was able to kick off its distribution efforts this year with 6,000 new winter coats to students in Philadelphia's school district. It is expected that over 31,000 new winter coats will be distributed in total this year. As of last year, over 140,000 coats in total had been donated and distributed.

In addition, this year the foundation also presented $50,000 to Philadelphia Mayor Michel Nutter in support of the Philadelphia Education Supplies fund.

Among other recipients this year, Conicelli's donated coats were sent to distribution centers at the Frederick Douglass Christian School in Chester, Carson Valley Children's Aid in Flourtown, Bright Hope Baptist Church in Philadelphia, and Macedonia Ministries in Norristown.
