Driving Away the Cold has donated over 625,000 new winter coats to children in the Philadelphia area since the annual program began in 2008. Coordinated by the Auto Dealers Caring for Kids Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP), Driving Away the Cold provides new warm winter coats to school children throughout the region.
Auto dealers typically donate one coat for every new car sold during the month of September. All of the six Conicelli dealerships in Conshohocken and Springfield have participated every year, and the 2025 drive has resulted in 1,806 new winter coats being donated to the following grassroots organizations:
- 348 coats to Frederick Douglass School in Chester
- 270 coats to Macedonia Baptist Church in Norristown
- 750 coats to Norristown School District in Norristown
- 162 coats to North Light Community Center in Manayunk
- 150 coats to Peace and Shake in Dresher
- 126 coats to Colonial Neighborhood Council in Conshohocken
Since Driving Away the Cold started in 2008, the Conicelli dealerships have donated 25,624 coats!
We're proud of the opportunity to make this donation yet again to local organizations that serve the children of our community, and look forward to continuing to keep kids warm in 2026!
